Welcome to Nutcracker Ski Club situated among the beautiful snowy gums of Mt Buller.

We are a warm and welcoming all year Alpine Retreat (@ 1600 mtrs elevation).

Established as a foundation ski club in 1964, Nutcracker has maintained its reputation of being a rustic & relaxed family friendly club.

We celebrated our 60th Year in 2024 as a foundation ski club at Mt Buller.

Our name derives from the device in the early days of skiing that “connected” skiers to the old ropes to haul them up the mountain. Today, Nutcracker Ski Club “connects” its members and guests to Mt Buller. Our name is both historic and symbolic.

We are an original private members ski club for those skiers and snowboarders who want to spend their day on the slopes and their nights sharing stories of the day with others dedicated to the mountain experience.

As a private members club we offer a limited number of seasonal memberships which are now open.

We also offer limited spare capacity to non members who are welcome to book rooms and experience our club.

Winter 26 season is now closed. We welcome you for Summer 26/27.

Friends of Nutcracker (non members who have previously stayed with us), are always welcome back.

We are located just 500 meters from the famous Bourke St run and just 200 meters from the Chamois run (Lydia’s Chairlift).

We have easy access to runs and the free village bus stop is nearby. It’s just an easy 10-minute walk to the Mt Buller Village Centre where you can find bars and restaurants, a supermarket and rental shops to rent all your ski and snowboarding gear.
